ThatApp can clone a Podio app or Space — including structure, field configuration, and optionally all records — to a new destination.

What you can clone

  • A single Podio app → to a new app in the same space
  • A single Podio app → to a new app in a different space
  • A single Podio app → to a new app in a completely different Podio organization
  • An entire Podio Space → to a new Space (all apps, structure, and optionally all records)

Step 1: Tell AVA what you want to clone

"Clone the Client Projects app to a new app called Client Projects Archive." "Clone the entire Operations space to our staging Podio organization."

Step 2: Choose what to include

AVA will ask:

  • Structure only (fields, views, and app settings), or structure plus all records?
  • If records: all records, or only records matching a specific filter?
  • Should relationships to other apps be maintained in the clone?
  • Should files be cloned?

Step 3: Specify the destination

For same-organization clones: tell AVA which Space to put the cloned app in.

For cross-organization clones: you will need to have both Podio organizations connected to ThatApp. AVA will ask which destination organization and space.

Step 4: Review and confirm

AVA will show you a summary of what will be created — the new app or space structure, number of records to be copied, and estimated completion time. Confirm to begin.

Limitations

Some Podio field types cannot be fully cloned (calculation fields that reference other apps may need to be reconfigured after cloning). AVA will tell you about any limitations before you confirm.

Clone operations for large spaces can take several hours. You will be notified when complete.
