Duplicate records accumulate in every platform over time. AVA can find them, show you the matches, and help you decide what to do with each one.

Step 1: Ask AVA to scan for duplicates

"Find duplicate records in our Salesforce contacts." "Are there any duplicate companies in Podio's Client app?"

AVA will run a duplicate scan against the platform you specify, comparing records on key fields like name, email, and phone number. For large datasets, this can take a few minutes.

Step 2: Review the results

AVA presents duplicate pairs with a confidence score (0–100) indicating how likely they are to be true duplicates. High-confidence matches have identical or near-identical key fields. Lower-confidence matches share some fields but differ on others.

Step 3: Resolve each pair

For each pair, you can:

  • Merge — Keep one record, copy unique data from the other, delete the duplicate. AVA will show you which fields differ before you confirm.
  • Keep both — Mark them as reviewed and not duplicates. They will not appear in future scans.
  • Investigate — Ask AVA to show you the full history of both records before deciding.

Step 4: Set up ongoing monitoring

"Notify me when new duplicate records appear in Salesforce."

AVA will set up a recurring scan and alert you when new potential duplicates are found.

What AVA cannot do

AVA will not automatically delete or merge records without your confirmation. Every resolution requires a review step. There is no bulk auto-merge.
