ThatApp supports 181 platforms. You can connect any of them — you do not need to start with Podio.

**Step 1: Open AVA and tell her what you want to connect**

Type the platform name. For example:

> "I want to connect Salesforce."

AVA will confirm she recognizes the platform and describe what the connection will enable.

**Step 2: Authorize the connection**

*For OAuth platforms* (Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Podio, most major SaaS tools): AVA will show you an authorization button in the conversation. Click it. Complete the authorization in the browser window that opens. Return to the conversation. Done.

*For API key platforms*: AVA will ask for the required credentials one at a time, validating each before moving to the next. She will tell you exactly where to find each credential in the platform.

*For SQL databases*: AVA will ask for your host, port, database name, username, and password. She tests the connection before saving anything. If the test fails, she will tell you which credential is likely wrong.

**Step 3: Your data lake begins populating**

As soon as authorization completes, ThatApp reads your complete platform history. You will see a progress indicator in the AVA conversation. For large datasets, this can take a few hours. You can continue using ThatApp while it runs.

**Step 4: AVA confirms completion**

When your lake is fully populated, AVA will tell you. Your next conversation will reflect complete knowledge of that platform.

**Adding more platforms**

You can connect additional platforms the same way — just tell AVA. There is no limit to the number of platforms you can connect. Each connected platform adds $30/month to your bill.

**If authorization fails**

The most common cause is a permission scope that was not granted during authorization. AVA will describe exactly which permission is missing. Go back to the source platform, update the OAuth scopes or API key permissions, and restart from Step 1.
